It’s a Monday night, my feet are currently UP as I sit and type away in the stillness of my cozy apartment. And you guys, it’s been some time! I’m happy to be back to share some updates about this life of mine and some upcoming things surrounding Chalssie Genre. With that being said, I also want to extend an invitation for each of you to walk alongside me as well.
The last couple of months have been a time of reflection. My regularly scheduled program was straight PAUSED and to be quite honest it was longer than expected but absolutely needed. One of the things that has been on my heart repeatedly, for sometime now is the concept of order.
This desire to be in full agreement with God in every aspect of my life. Surrender becomes a whole new world, especially once you really start pulling back the layers. It takes trust to walk with the Lord and trust in the mystery of who He is; especially when we are being led to go where we have not been before. Keeping in mind that His ways and thoughts are much higher than what we could ever imagine. That there is purpose in not only what we come into the knowledge of but also in the process of it all as we walk with Him.
The lack of order, inconsistency and fickleness in one’s life breeds chaos whether we are aware of this reality or not. Some of the areas, that I will be walking through in the later weeks, address things that are deemed important but I, in one way or another, have failed to execute them consistently, due to FEAR, lacking belief that it can be done. But, the truth within those thoughts are that the things we may see, appearing to be the size of a mountain from our human perspective are actually the size of a tiny ant hill given true revelation and insight surrounding the area.
Have you ever hesitated to do something or dragged your feet and procrastinated and once you finally mustered up the courage to face it head on, you thought - “that wasn’t that bad…” realizing you actually enjoyed it and even grew from the experience. Thoughts consumed with fear of failure and doubt are the very things that keeps us from living a life of abundance and blinds us of the beauty surrounding us.
There is PLENTY of growth to be had for me - so much; plenty of opportunities within this life that I have been given that can use some fine tuning and attention. I want to share this journey with you all, not as an expert in the field but as a human that dares to challenge herself to take active steps in hope and confidence that with consistency, dedication, resilience and discipline great things will be birthed.
So, what can you expect… Over the next few weeks I’ll be sharing on the areas of self -care, mental health, time management, finances, food, fitness and relationships… All areas within our lives that contribute to living well and showing up big. My desire is that my vulnerability will spark something inside of you; that it will encourage you to take those next steps forward too, in whatever places you are called to tend. We’ll be going all in and it’s going to be, “Oh so good!”
Let’s live this thing!
With Love,
Chalssie
P.S. As I wrote this blog post, I was reminded of a sermon written by who I call "my NC pastor", Andy Thompson of World Overcomers Christian Church, who preached on a sermon about this very topic of agreement. And it has followed me as a solid reminder and constant nudge even today.
